Your documents

Paperly processes selected files and scanned-page OCR in your browser. The conversion tool does not upload the contents of your selected documents to our server. Conversions are held in the browser while you use the page; you choose whether to copy or download results. Do not email sensitive documents to support unless you choose to do so.

Local storage and network requests

A licence, if entered, is stored in browser local storage and checked locally. Clearing site data can remove it. Your browser downloads the website and, when needed, OCR models from the host. The hosting provider may receive technical request information, such as IP address, requested paths and timestamps, in ordinary server logs; its practices depend on the hosting arrangement.

Support and future payments

If you email us, we receive the address and information you send so we can respond. Payment is not currently enabled. If paid checkout is added, the payment provider will process payment details under its own privacy notice; this notice will be updated to reflect the actual provider and practices.
